Aqua Park Rules and Regulations

The Lazy L Lake Campground LLC Aqua Park floating play apparatus is an activity-based area that requires a certain level of fitness, agility, and stamina. The obstacles of the course are all inflatable items anchored into place and floating on the water surface. As such, they may be slippery. Therefore, expecting to slide and fall on the units into the water. As a participant, the following are the requirements for you to be eligible to buy tickets and use the park.

  • NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Swim at your own risk.

  • You must be between 6 years old and 60 years old.

  • Must be at least 4 feet in height.

  • 14 and under must be accompanied with an 18 and older adult on the water park.

  • Weight Limit: 250 lbs.

  • We discourage persons with congenital heart disease, hypertension, and other severe illnesses from using the park, including conditions that are exposure to heat and strenuous activities, which by using the park area may aggravate these conditions.

  • Persons with mobility issues or previous injuries, including back, knee, hip, and joint problems, are restricted unless they have medical clearance from their physician.

  • Pregnant women should not participate in the park area usage.

  • DO use the buddy system while inside the park.

  • DO wear proper swimming attire: Rash Guard, board shorts, bikinis, and other form-fitting clothing. Spandex is acceptable.

  • DO play barefoot.

  • DO wear the prescribed buoyancy vest provided to you when you surrender your admission ticket.

  • DO turn over on your back when you fall into the lake to breathe effortlessly.

  • DO use both hands when climbing and descending structures in the park.

  • DO be careful of other participants around you.

  • DO be a friend to others when needing assistance.

  • DO take notice this is swimming at your own risk.

  • DO follow all Lazy L Lake Staff commands and orders.

    • DON’T bring sharp objects inside the park.

    • DON’T tumble or flip.

    • DON’T dive head-first into the water.

    • DON’T swim under the units.

    • DON’T bring food and drinks to the park.

    • DON’T smoke inside the park area.

    • DON’T wear jewelry, earrings, or eyewear.

    • DON’T wear sandals or slippers.

    • DON’T push other people into the lake.

    • DON’T play rough

    • DON’T leave the park without the Lazy L Lake Staff notice.

    • DON’T remove the buoyancy vest until you are on shore.

    • DON’T enter the aqua park under the influence of alcohol, medication, or illegal substances.

    • DON’T play around at the top of higher structures. Proceed down cautiously.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We can allow bringing in mobile phones and/or action cameras; however, Lazy L Lake Campground LLC WILL NOT be liable for any damages or losses to the equipment. Drones are not permitted unless with special permission from Lazy L Lake Campground. Again, as above, no liability for losses or damages will fall on or against Lazy L Lake Campground.

Lazy L Lake Campground – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Do you have seasonal rates for camping?
A: You are able to stay the whole season. It costs $560 a month, which includes electricity. We have water at each site. There is a dump station, and we also offer a honey wagon service that empties black tanks for a fee. Full hook is available as well $720 a month.  All monthly or seasonal camping is done with a phone call because additional steps are required

Q: Can I prepay for people I’m inviting to a party at Lazy L Lake?
A: It’s $5 per person. Children five and under are free. Most people pay as they come in. You're welcome to count your guests and pay at the gate.

Q: Are all your sites full hookup?
A: Full hookup reservations are made over the phone. We can make any site full hookup.

Q: Do you have pictures and information about your three RV rentals?
A: We do not have pictures at this time. Site D 14 RV has two queen beds on opposite ends with a living room, bathroom, and kitchen in the middle.  Site D15 rv has a bunk room with four twin beds and a queen bed on opposite ends. D12 Rv has a bunk room with twin bunk and 2 fold out seats twin size and a queen bed on the other end.

Q: What is the price for two nights over a weekend for an RV Rental?
A: $125 per night, with a two-night minimum stay. If you bring pets, it’s $25 per night per pet. The RV rental covers four people; each additional person is $10 per night.

Q: How much are you charging for the catfish tournament this weekend?
A: $20 per person.

Q: What time does it start?
A: 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight.

Q: How much is your rental beach house?
A: $100 to $300 a night, depending on when you're booking.

Q: Do the RVs come stocked with anything like plates, cookware, grill, bedding, etc.?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you take credit card payments or tap to pay for entry?
A: Yes, we have tap and accept card payments. Credit cards do have a processing fee

Q: Do you have a spot where we can hang out for the day, cook out, go out in a boat, and fish?
A: Yes. The lake is idle speed/no wake. You can hang out, but we do not allow grills to be brought onto the beach.

Q: Do you provide grills? Or is it gas only?
A: We do not provide grills.

Q: What do your Huts include?
A: Huts don't have anything in them. There is one plug to use to charge your phone or a fan. A Hut covers four people (take out they pay for gate fee now). Additional people cost extra. You can check availability at lazylakecampground.com.

Q: Do you have campers we can reserve, or do we need to bring our own? How many tents can you put on a campsite?
A: We do have RV rentals for $125 per night with a two-night minimum. Campsites include four people; each additional person is $10 per night.

Q: What is the cancellation policy and procedure?
A: Cancel before 7 days for a 100% refund. Cancel before 3 days for a 50% refund. No refund after that. Processing fees are not refundable.

Q: Are people allowed to set bank poles in the evening and check them the next morning?
A: Yes. We just ask that alarms be set to vibrate or off to avoid waking others.

Q: Can I get more info about the fishing tournament this weekend?
A: $40 per person, 3-man teams. Most gar killed wins $500.

Q: Do you have inflatables at the lake? How much does it cost to swim? Do we need a reservation?
A: Yes, inflatables are available (weather permitting), 7 days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Swimming is open until dusk.
All pricing is on our website. Entry to swim is $5/person. Kids 5 and under are free. Inflatables cost extra.

Q: Do we need a fishing license?
A: No fishing license is required at Lazy L Lake.

Q: Is the lake catch and release?
A: Yes catch and release unless it is an asian carp or gar.

Q: If I'm just coming to pick someone up, do I have to pay the entry fee?
A: On weekends, everyone must pay the gate fee unless you meet them at the gate. As long as this is not abused, but if it starts to be abused then yes everyone will need to meet at the gate

Q: Is there a limit to how many people can stay in one Hut?
A: Huts include four people. Additional people must pay a fee.

Q: How much is the Hut and how much per person?
A: $45/day for the Hut, plus $10 per additional person. Kids under 5 are free(delete).

Q: How much is a kayak rental?
A: $5/hour per person. Kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes are $10(delete). Hydrobike is $10 per person.

Q: Can we bring our own kayaks for a couple hours?
A: Yes. It’s $5 per person and $4 per kayak(delet).

Q: What is the age limit on the floats? Can my 4-year-old go on them with me?
A: The current age limit is 6 years old and 4 ft tall.

Q: What time does swimming open for day guests?
A: Day guests are welcome from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Swimming is open until dusk.

Q: Do you offer a summer day pass or local membership?
A: Yes, we offer season day passes. $59 up to 3 people in the vehicle or $99 up to 5 people in the vehicle

Q: Do you have minnows in your bait shop?
A: Yes, live bait is available from April through the end of our camping season.

Q: What date do you open for the season?
A: April 15th weather permitting.

Q: Are you open for swimming, and how much does it cost to get in?
A: Yes, swimming opens at 8 a.m. Entry is $5/person.

Q: Do you accept cash and cards?
A: Yes, both are accepted. Card payment do have a processing fee

Q: I work with local bands and would love to play sometime. How can I do that?
A: Our band lineup is already planned for the year. You’re welcome to follow up in September or October when we plan the next season.

Q: Do you have anything open for the season?
A: We have full hookup. Call to make a reservation 812-533-1562. Restrooms with a shower, toilet, and sink are available, as well as portable bathrooms

Q: What’s included in the nightly rate? Does it include access to inflatables?
A: Nightly rate includes swimming in the roped-off area and fishing. Kayaks and inflatables cost extra.

Q: How soon can I reserve the camper that allows pets for the summer?
A: The RV is $125/night, $600/week, or $1800/month. You’re only responsible for propane. Let us know how many people and pets you have.

Q: Do you allow golf carts for campers?
A: Yes. There is a daily or monthly fee.

Q: How much is a seasonal spot?
A: $560/month includes water and electric. Honey wagon service is $20 per use. Full hookup is $720/month.

Q: Can we bring personal kayaks?
A: Yes, personal kayaks are welcome.

Q: Do you have RV rentals?
A: Yes, we offer RV rentals. We do not allow third-party RVs due to issues with overuse and power management(delete).

Q: Do you have any promotions?
A: We offer a Vigo County resident discount for monthly RV stays at $400/month.

Q: What amenities do you offer?
A: Water, 30/50 amp campsites, fire pits, picnic tables, restrooms, beach, boat ramp, many planned events, kayak rentals, roped-off swim area, trails, dog park, dog beach area, and more.

Q: Can I camp and ride my side by side the back roads of West Terre Haute from the campground?
A: You may park your side by side like a car at your site or in guest parking, but it is not allowed on the trails (only allowed on the gravel roads).
